Start of new week..
End of World Cup, End of nfac 2010.
Start of school in few days time.
many thoughts.. unsure how to start though. lol.
this post window was open since 12/7 afternoon.. now its night le.. and i guess.. maybe till tml i'm still not sure what i want to blog haha.
110710 - end of nfac'10.
This year, had the chance to see where we stand among the others.. see if all these trainings had helped.
nannied the ac and nc team in the morning, check their uniform, give them the honey, wished them the best of luck. sending them off to registration.. 好像送他们上战场, lol.. hoping that everything will be good.
as the com starts..
seeing them at the muster parade, seems to be among the better ones..
at each component station, tried to read what the judge is saying, deciphering the case..
worried as we see them do things wrongly, wishing that they can telepathically read our mind lol.
looking at other teams to gauge if we're better or worse off..
overall.. both team performed quite well..
First aid - cpr was unexpected this year.. everyone, first to fourth man was tested on it..
nc did quite badly for that.. our bad.. didn't really drill the others on their cpr. and that shook them abit i guessed.
Footdrill..
ac was quite a disappointment with several major mistakes in there.. luckily didn't lose out much.. guess there's worse teams out there ba haha.
nc.. a litttle bit of hiccup with the lack of timing as they're told to cut timing.. as they resume the timing after reporting, though there's still some usual minor mistakes, overall was still not bad..
Seems that overall nursing standards seems to be better than ambulance, in both adult and cadet cat. lol. Esp AA teams.. quite a few chui teams. lol. guess all the better ambulance teams are sent to the cadet cat. ba..
Announcing of results..
anxious, anxious.. and on top of it there's some stress and pressure..
We need to get up on stage at least once..
as we were saying.. in zone fac, we'll hope that when they announce results, our name will not be read out too early.. in nfac, every category results, we'll hope "是我们， 是我们" from the start. lol.
praying hard then.. the need of an award..
guess our '是我们' prayer worked bah.. lol. Third in HomeNursing NC9 zone 5! stun for a moment and cheer.. lol. clapped so hard that the hands turned red. home nursing afterall was often thought to be one of the weaker component for us.
tt moment.. a big rock was lifted off.. we've been up on stage at least once le! lol.
having done well on home nurse gave us some hope that we still can fight for the top 3..
with the pressure off, hope injected, was anticipating the rest of the results..
well.. nc's mark was quite tight if i'm not wrong.. didn't manage to clinch the thrid..
But they've done well :)
after seeing the nc able to obtain something.. hope for the ac naturally increased..
the first component result - FA long case.. Third AC6 zone 5! lol our hoping for '是我们' mantra from the start of each result quite effective ar lol. always the 'first' to be called.
With a long case well done, like homenurse, its a big component.. hope to clinch the top 3 increased..
at the same time was hoping for another award in perhaps short case as it seems to be quite alright..
but well.. didn't..
then come toc, was not really expecting anything as the debrief at the station was not very good..
miracles do happen! another 3rd :)
gave us a higher chance for overall placing.. and Well done ambulance! 2nd runner up! :)
after the announcement of results.. happiness for both.. its been a long while since z5 had went up to stage several times in nfac bah..
at the same time, a big rock lifted off.. at least we had something to 'report'.. (lol automatically wtf appeared after i typed 'report')
美中不足之处.. the na, zh nursing team was a big big disappointment.. haiz. i thought they'll at least appear.. i thought.
Happy 过后, somehow starts to think about lots of things..
this year's nfac.. to others its just a 2 months time and effort..
to me its much more.. many underlying things that others don't see and will not know..
nfac 的代价.. 小的这样，大的也这样.. haiz.
110710 competition, somehow also brought a closure not to 1, but 2 years of nfac centralise training..
one year from today, 120709 we ended nfac09.. tt night we're talking.. "the end seems so sudden.. doesn't feel right".. though this year its a different group of pple.. but they're the first batch that actually participate after the start of centralise training.. by us.
我们开始的， 现在看到他们的成就， 可以结束了。
though we know.. the ac result is not really due to centralise training.. ac just add to the large amt. of nfac headahce lol.
while waiting for result.. 不禁想.. it shouldn't be just the 2 of us waiting, feeling anxious.. it could have been another shared memories.. but well.. its not. tt's life.
